SUNNY POINT Open House and Barbecue!

Dates: June 4, 2017
Days/Hours: Sunday, June 4th, 1-4PM

Summer season at Sunny Point starts on Sunday, June 4 with an afternoon of fun and food at our lakeside facility.

There will be wine by Ravines, beer tastings by The Brewery of Broken Dreams, music by Troy Cusson, and activities for all as well as a chicken barbecue provided by Baker's Barbecue of the Eastside Grill of Penn Yan.

Dates: June 5, 2017 - October 20, 2017

The Artistic Retreat provides a place for artists, singly or in a group, to create on beautiful Keuka Lake located in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. Artists stay at and use the Sunny Point facilities for a 3 day, 5 day or 7 day period of time. This lakeside cottage can provide accommodations for up to 6 individuals, including linens and a full kitchen and is offered on an “as available” basis.

Reservation fee for a 3 day stay is $750, for a 5 day stay $1,200, and for a 7 day stay $1,500. A $100.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is due with registration. Balance due one week prior – payment to ACYC.

Artistic Retreat Season: June 5 to October 20, 2016.

Keuka Triathlon

Dates: June 11, 2017
Days/Hours: Sunday, June 11, 7AM - 4PM

The Keuka lake Triathlon (KLT) has grown to be one of the largest in the Finger Lakes Region! Part of the Arts Center’s job is to round up 100 volunteers for the June 11th event. The event not only provides an opportunity to attract and welcome visitors to the region, but acts as a fundraiser for the Arts Center, which reinvests those funds back into our community. Contact the Arts Center at 315-536-8226 or at if you’re interested in volunteering or becoming a local sponsor for the event. Stop over at Keuka College JUNE 11 to welcome the athletes and their families or to cheer on their efforts.


Dates: June 30, 2017 - September 11, 2017
Location: Sunny Point

Open to visual artists, literary artists, and performance artists who  demonstrate professional standing in their field, this residency offers a 10 day use of the Sunny Point facility located on Keuka Lake in New York’s Finger Lakes region. An award supported by the Arts Center of Yates County, this lakeside residence, with separate studio space, is available at no cost. Travel and meals not included.

This opportunity includes the expectation that the artist will donate a piece of work reflective of his/her style or their Sunny Point experienceto the Arts Center and its members.  

Dates for the Artist in Residence program for the 2017 season include: 

June 30 to July 10 or September 1 to September 11.
